MAPOLY Launches MICS for Academic Document Processing

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has introduced the MAPOLY Integrated Central System (MICS) for the electronic processing of academic documents.

The Polytechnic said MICS is a one-stop digital platform for academic services. It was set up to simplify administrative procedures under the acronym SPEAKS. The move comes as MAPOLY shifts academic document processing to a central online platform.

What MAPOLY MICS means for students and graduates

MAPOLY said the new system was introduced to address the difficult procedures students had faced in the processing and collection of academic documents.

The Polytechnic also stated that all academic documents have been moved to the digital platform and will be activated in phases. For now, the Notification of Result is fully available; graduates can process and print it at once through MICS.

Notification of Result is now available on MICS

Graduates can now use MICS to process and print the Notification of Result.

At the launch of the first successfully e-generated Notification of Result, the Rector, Arc. Dr. “Koye Jolaoso, congratulated stakeholders and presented the first copy to Ajayi Precious, a Distinction graduate from the Department of Accountancy.

The Rector said, “As Management, I congratulate everyone on this landmark achievement in the digitalisation of our processes, as I present this copy to the first beneficiary, Ajayi Precious.”

Change from Statement of Result to Notification of Result

MAPOLY recalled that the Academic Board approved the replacement of the Statement of Result with the Notification of Result.

That change took effect from the 2024/2025 academic session. So, for affected graduates, the Notification of Result is now the document in use.

Who can use the MAPOLY MICS platform

Only students with verified profiles will be allowed to process and print academic documents on the platform.

MAPOLY said this rule is part of efforts to protect the system and the records on it. The Notification of Result also comes with extra security features, including a QR code for verification and authentication.

Other academic services coming to MICS

MAPOLY said graduates will soon be able to process more academic records through the MICS platform without physical presence at the Polytechnic.

The listed services include:

These services are tied to the MAPOLY academic records page.

Where to get help

Students who face any problem on the platform are advised to use the Helpdesk icon on the homepage.

What this MAPOLY update confirms

MAPOLY has started phased online processing of academic documents through MICS, and the Notification of Result is the first service already active.

The Polytechnic has also made clear that verified profiles are required; that point sits at the centre of access to the platform.
