Applicants require a minimum of five O-Level passes in relevant subjects. The duration of the courses is two years. Iya Abubakar Institute of Information & Communication Technology (IAIICT), a component of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its diploma programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

ABU IAIICT Diploma Entry Requirements and Duration

Before applying, candidates must meet certain criteria as specified for each diploma programme:

Prepare for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, BECE, NCEE and Post UTME

Diploma in Computer Science:

Prospective students must possess a minimum of five O-Level passes at credit level (or above) in WAEC/NECO. The subjects should include Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other two subjects from Sciences and/or Social Sciences. Candidates must meet these criteria in not more than two sittings.

Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering:

To apply for this programme, candidates must possess a minimum of five O-Level passes at credit level (or above) in WAEC/NECO. These should include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any other one subject from Sciences and/or Social Sciences. As with the other programme, these requirements should be met in not more than two sittings.

Diploma in Cyber Security:

Minimum of five (5) O-Level passes at credit level (at least) in WAEC/NECO including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any other one subject in Sciences or Social Sciences at not more than two sittings

The duration of each of these diploma courses is two years.
