ABU Announces Sallah Celebration Public Holiday 2023
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) announces Sallah celebration public holidays in line with the Federal Government's declaration for Eid el Kabir. The holidays fall on the 28th and 29th of June, 2023, and normal university activities are set to resume on the 3rd of July. ABU management extends warm Sallah celebrations to staff, students, and the public.
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), one of Nigeria’s leading institutions, will join the nation in observing the Federal Government’s declared public holidays on Wednesday, 28th, and Thursday, 29th June 2023 to celebrate Eid el Kabir, also known as Sallah. The Management of ABU has extended warm wishes for a joyous and peaceful Eid el-Kabir to all staff, students, and the general public.
Federal Government’s Declaration for Eid el Kabir
The Federal Government, following a long-established tradition, has marked Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June 2023 as public holidays to honour the Islamic festival of Eid el Kabir. The festival, also known as Sallah, is one of the most significant holidays in the Muslim calendar and is celebrated nationwide.
