AEFUTHA Post-Basic Nursing Admission Form 2026/2027

Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki has opened admission into its Post-Basic Nursing programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. The admission is handled by the College of Nursing Sciences, AE-FUTHA, Abakaliki.

The programmes have approval from the Nursing Council and run for one year. Qualified nurses who meet the entry rules can apply through the college admission portal.

AE-FUTHA Post-Basic Nursing Programmes

The College of Nursing Sciences has listed four Post-Basic Nursing programmes for the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Each programme runs for one year.

• Accident and Emergency Nursing
• Critical Care Nursing
• Nephrology Nursing
• Orthopaedic Nursing

AE-FUTHA Post-Basic Nursing Admission Requirements

Candidates must have five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or GCE at not more than two sittings. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Applicants must also be qualified nurses registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. A current practising licence is required too.

Application Fee

The application fee is Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Naira, ₦25,200. Candidates should generate the Remita RRR from the admission portal before making payment.

How to Apply for AE-FUTHA Post-Basic Nursing Admission

The application runs online through the College admission portal. Candidates should use their own details and complete each stage before printing the examination slip.

1. Visit the AE-FUTHA College of Nursing Sciences admission portal.
2. Create an account on the portal.
3. Log in with the username and password created.
4. Generate the Remita RRR and make payment.
5. Log in again after payment.
6. Confirm payment and complete the application form.
7. Print the examination slip after a successful application.

The examination slip will contain the examination date, venue and other details needed by the applicant.

Application Deadline and Entrance Examination Date

The application deadline is 21 September 2026. Candidates should complete the online form before that date.

The entrance examination is scheduled for Wednesday, 26 September 2026, according to the notice. Applicants should print their examination slips for the full exam details.
