Renaissance African Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, has opened applications for the NNPC-Renaissance JV University Scholarship 2026. The call is for suitably qualified Nigerian undergraduates.
The scholarship supports academic performance and skill growth among young Nigerians; successful applicants receive a yearly grant for the duration of their undergraduate degree programme. Candidates should read the categories, rules and document list before applying.

Scholarship Categories
The NNPC-Renaissance JV University Scholarship is merit-based. It has two award categories.
- National Merit Award, open to all Nigerians
- Areas of Operation Merit Award, open to indigenes of Renaissance operational areas in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They must also be registered full-time undergraduates in accredited Nigerian universities.
Candidates must be in 200 Level and must show proof of admission into the 2024/2025 academic session. Applicants who already receive any other scholarship from companies or bodies operating in the oil and gas sector cannot apply.
Required Documents
Applicants need to upload clear copies of the required documents. The list includes:
- Recent passport photograph with white background
- School ID card
- University or JAMB admission letter
- JAMB result
- 2024/2025 transcript or 100-level result
- Letter of identification from state or local government
Applicants for the Areas of Operation Merit Award must also provide community identification letters. The letters must be signed by the Paramount Ruler and the CDC or CEC Chairman.
How to Apply
Qualified students should apply online through the NNPC-Renaissance JV scholarship portal. The application must be completed through the stated portal.
The scholarship application is free. Applicants should not pay anyone at any stage of the process.
Application Deadline
Applications opened on 30 April 2026 and will close on 31 May 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation for the computer-based test.
