AKSU Convocation Fees 2026: Approved Rates

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has released the approved convocation fees for graduands taking part in its combined 6th to 12th Convocation Ceremonies. The Office of the Registrar issued the notice dated 6 February 2026; it covers graduands scheduled for the convocation ceremony holding on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

The combined 6th to 12th AKSU Convocation Ceremonies will take place on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

Approved convocation fees (by programme)
AKSU grouped the approved charges into postgraduate and undergraduate categories; each group has its own rate.
Postgraduate programmes
This category covers:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Master's Degrees (M.Sc, M.A, M.Ed, M.Eng and others)
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
Approved fees:
- With academic gown: ₦150,000
- Without academic gown: ₦85,000
Undergraduate programmes
Approved fee:
- Convocation fee: ₦45,000
Graduands who paid ₦15,000 earlier
AKSU stated that any graduand who previously paid ₦15,000 as convocation fees should pay only the balance of the newly approved rate for the relevant category; the remaining amount depends on whether the graduand falls under postgraduate (with or without gown) or undergraduate.
Proof of payment and clearance
AKSU stated that evidence of payment will be required for clearance and for the release of convocation items. A graduand who shows no payment evidence should expect delays during clearance; the materials will follow the university's stated process.
Payment procedure and gown collection
The university said it will communicate payment procedures, deadlines and academic gown collection details in due course. Graduands have been told to comply with the approved fees and follow further updates as they come.
