Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has begun its undergraduate admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university, described as Nigeria’s premier Islamic faith-based university, has released the approved JAMB UTME cut-off marks for its faculties, colleges and departments. Applicants seeking admission through Post UTME or Direct Entry can now check the score required for their chosen course and complete their application through the school portal.
Al-Hikmah University Cut-Off Marks for 2026/2027
The approved cut-off marks vary by course. Some professional programmes require higher JAMB scores, while many other undergraduate courses sit at 150.
Applicants should check their course carefully before applying; a wrong assumption here can cost time and money.
College of Health Sciences
The College of Health Sciences has the highest stated cut-off mark.
- MB;BS, Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery: 200
Candidates who choose Medicine and Surgery must score at least 200 in JAMB UTME before they can proceed with the admission process.
Faculty of Nursing Sciences and Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Nursing Sciences and Faculty of Law require a minimum JAMB UTME score of 190.
Courses under this group include:
- LL.B. Common Law
- LL.B. Common and Islamic Law
- B.NSc. Nursing Science
These programmes carry a higher score than the general faculty cut-off mark, so applicants need to check their JAMB score before starting the online application.
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences has two score bands.
BMLS, also known as B. Medical Laboratory Science, requires a minimum score of 180. Other courses under the faculty require 150, including B.Sc. Public Health, B.Sc. Human Physiology and B.Sc. Human Anatomy.
General Faculty Cut-Off Mark
Al-Hikmah University has set 150 as the general JAMB UTME cut-off mark for many undergraduate courses across its faculties.

- Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Technology: B.Sc. Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems and Software Engineering
- Faculty of Management Sciences: B.Sc. Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing and Business Administration
- Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences: B.Sc. Microbiology, Industrial Mathematics, Petroleum Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Physics with Electronics, Statistics, Biology, Geology and Biochemistry
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: B.Sc. Sociology and Criminology, Public Administration, Political Science and Conflict Resolution, Mass Communication; B.A. Arabic, English, Islamic Studies, History and International Relations; B. Library and Information Science
- Faculty of Education: B.Sc. (Ed.) Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Economics, Political Science and Business Education; B.A. (Ed.) Arabic, English and Islamic Studies; B.Ed. Social Studies, Educational Technology, Guidance and Counselling, and Educational Management
Applicants choosing any of these courses need a minimum JAMB UTME score of 150.
Direct Entry Requirements
Direct Entry applicants must meet the minimum academic grades stated by the university.
Candidates using A’Level qualifications, including JUPEB, IJMB or NABTEB, must have at least two passes and a minimum of 2 points. ND applicants need at least a Lower Credit grade, while applicants with other Diploma or NCE qualifications need a Merit grade.
That is the baseline requirement for Direct Entry applicants.
