COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry Form for 2026/2027 Undergraduate Admission

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU, formerly known as Anambra State University, ANSU, has invited eligible candidates to register for the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The admission screening is for candidates who made COOU their First Choice University during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, while other qualified candidates may also apply after changing to COOU through a JAMB CBT Centre.

Who is eligible for COOU Post UTME screening?

Candidates who selected COOU as their First Choice University and met the stated UTME score for their proposed course can register for the screening exercise.

Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmaceutical Science require a minimum UTME score of 200.

Candidates for other courses must have scored 150 and above, while those with scores from 150 to 165 are encouraged to give better consideration to the recommended courses listed by the University.

Can candidates who did not choose COOU as First Choice apply?

Candidates who did not make COOU their First Choice University can apply if they scored the eligible mark for their proposed course.

Such candidates will be expected to visit a JAMB CBT Centre for change of university to COOU before they proceed with the admission process.

Who is eligible for COOU Direct Entry screening?

Direct Entry candidates who made COOU their First Choice University should register for the screening exercise.

They must hold NCE, OND, HND, First Degree or A' Level qualifications in relevant disciplines and subjects.

What must Direct Entry candidates do about transcripts?

Direct Entry candidates must ensure that their academic transcripts are sent to the Registrar, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, on or before the Post UTME screening deadline.

Any transcript received after the deadline will not be considered for admission.

What age is required for COOU admission screening?

Eligible candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.

Candidates below that age by the stated date will not meet the age condition for the screening exercise.

How much is the COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry form?

The processing fee is Two Thousand Naira, N2,000 only.

The fee is non-refundable and payment will be made through the application portal.

When will COOU Post UTME registration start and close?

Online registration will begin on Monday, 8 June 2026 and will end on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

Candidates who fail to register online will not be considered for the screening exercise.

What result upload is required?

Upload of O'Level result is compulsory for all candidates.

Direct Entry candidates must also upload their A'Level result, where applicable, as part of the online registration process.

How can candidates apply for COOU Post UTME or Direct Entry?

Candidates are to complete the application through the official COOU portal.

The process is as follows:

  1. Visit the COOU admission application portal.
  2. Click "Create One" under the "Sign in" button if no account exists.
  3. Use a personal email address and phone number that can be accessed easily.
  4. Log in with the JAMB Registration Number and the password created during account setup.
  5. Follow the Application Progress steps after login to complete the Post UTME application.
