The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme 2025-2026 offers a fully-funded opportunity for Master's study in the UK.
This programme, supported by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, aims to empower talented individuals from eligible Commonwealth countries to become future leaders and innovators.

Benefits of the Scholarship
The scholarship covers the following:
- Approved airfare from the scholar's home country to the UK and return at the end of the award.
- Full tuition fees as agreed between the CSC and the UK university.
- Monthly living allowance of £1,378 or £1,690 for scholars studying in the London metropolitan area.
- Warm clothing allowance where applicable.
- Thesis grant for the preparation of a dissertation or thesis.
- Study travel grant for study-related travel within or outside the UK.
- Contribution towards the cost of a mandatory tuberculosis (TB) test required for a visa application.
- Child allowance of £590 per month for the first child and £146 per month for the second and third child under 16, if the scholar is a single parent, divorced or widowed and their children reside with them in the UK.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme, you must:
- Be a citizen or hold refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Reside permanently in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be available to start academic studies in the UK by September 2025.
- Hold a first degree with at least upper second-class (2:1) honours or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Not have studied or worked in a high-income country for more than one academic year.
- Be unable to afford to study in the UK without the scholarship.
- Provide all supporting documents in the required format.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
- Academic merit.
- Quality of the research proposal.
- Potential impact on the development of the applicant's home country.
