EBSU Cut-Off Marks for 2026/2027 Admission Exercise

Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, has released the cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.

Candidates seeking admission into EBSU need to check the approved score for their chosen course before moving to the Post UTME stage. The general cut-off mark is 150, but courses such as Medicine and Surgery, Law, Nursing Science and Medical Laboratory Science require higher scores.

EBSU General Cut-Off Mark

EBSU has set 150 as the general cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.

A candidate who scores below the required mark for a chosen course does not meet the screening requirement for that course. Those who score at or above the approved mark can proceed based on the admission rules set for the programme.

EBSU Cut-Off Marks by Faculty and Course

The approved cut-off marks vary across faculties and departments.

Some courses sit at the general 150 mark, while professional and competitive courses have higher marks. Candidates should read the list with care; guessing the score for a course can lead to a wrong admission plan.

What the EBSU Cut-Off Marks Mean for Candidates

The cut-off mark gives each candidate a first check before the Post UTME screening.

A candidate who wants Medicine and Surgery, for example, needs at least 250. A candidate seeking Mass Communication needs 180, while a candidate going for many other courses may meet the first score rule with 150.

That score alone does not give admission. It only shows that the candidate has met the stated mark for the next stage.
