IMSU Post UTME / Direct Entry Form for 2026/2027 Admission

Imo State University, Owerri, has announced the start of registration for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

Registration begins on Monday, 25 May 2026. The screening form is for UTME candidates who chose IMSU as first choice and scored at least 160, as well as Direct Entry candidates with the required qualifications.

Who Can Apply for IMSU Post UTME?

Candidates who chose Imo State University, Owerri, as their first-choice university and scored a minimum of 160 in the UTME can apply for the screening.

Candidates who did not choose IMSU as first choice may also apply if they scored the required cut-off mark. Such candidates must visit the JAMB website and change their first-choice school to Imo State University, Owerri, before the Post UTME application closes.

IMSU Direct Entry Eligibility

Direct Entry candidates must hold OND, HND, First Degree, A’Level or equivalent qualifications.

The qualification must also match the relevant discipline and subjects for the chosen course. IMSU will consider only candidates whose records fit the admission route they are using.

O’Level Result Upload on JAMB

All candidates must ensure that their qualifying results are uploaded to JAMB.

Candidates awaiting O’Level results should upload them to JAMB as soon as the results are released. IMSU stated that candidates who fail to upload their results to JAMB will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply for IMSU Post UTME / Direct Entry Screening

Candidates should follow the online process through the university portal.

1. Visit the IMSU online application portal and click on the 2026/2027 Post UTME/Direct Entry application link.
2. Enter the correct JAMB registration number to check eligibility. Eligible candidates can then proceed to payment.
3. Use the JAMB registration number only as the invoice number, pay ₦2,000 and generate the payment receipt.
4. Return to the IMSU online application portal after 24 hours of payment and complete the application form.
5. Print the acknowledgement slip and present it at the Post UTME/Direct Entry screening venue on the screening or examination date.

Candidates are encouraged to use IMSU Microfinance Bank for easier access during the payment process.

IMSU Aptitude Test Date

IMSU will communicate the specific screening date and time for each candidate later.

Applicants should keep checking their details after registration and keep the acknowledgement slip safe. The slip will be required at the screening venue.

IMSU Post UTME Closing Date

The closing date for the IMSU Post UTME and Direct Entry screening application is Thursday, 25 June 2026.

Candidates should complete payment, form filling and printing before the deadline. Waiting until the final day can leave little room to correct errors.
