Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Convocation Date Change: New 2026 Ceremony Date Is 15 April

The Academic Board of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, at its Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, discussed the 2026 Convocation Ceremony and agreed to change the date; the Board said the adjustment will support planning and proper preparation.

The earlier date and why it changed

At the meeting, the Board reviewed the earlier date of Wednesday, 4 February 2026, as listed in the Academic Calendar. The Board stated that revised Polytechnic programmes made a date change necessary; the aim is to allow adequate preparation and a successful ceremony.

New approved date for the 2026 convocation

The Academic Board approved Wednesday, 15 April 2026 as the new date for the 2026 Convocation Ceremony.

Instructions to units, committees and stakeholders

The Polytechnic directed all organs, units, committees and stakeholders involved in convocation planning and execution to begin and step up preparations for the programme; the notice asked all concerned parties to note the change and comply.
