FULOKOJA Postgraduate Safety Management Programmes 2025

Federal University Lokoja invites you to apply for professional safety programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

These programmes run under the Centre for Safety Management in partnership with Safety Analytics Limited.

The centre was set up to teach and build skills in areas that deal with work and public safety.

Each course focuses on safety in real work places and helps meet safety needs across many sectors.

Check available postgraduate programmes

1. Professional Diploma in Process Safety Management
Duration: 6 months
Covers safety planning in risky industries like oil, gas and chemicals.
Teaches how to spot hazards, control risk and build strong safety systems.
Entry Requirement: HND in science or engineering field.

2. Professional Diploma in Workplace Safety Management
Duration: 6 months
Covers health and safety plans in work settings.
Teaches how to guide safety steps and follow legal rules.
Entry Requirement: HND in any science or engineering field.

3. Professional Master in Process Safety Management
Duration: 12 months
Covers ways to stop accidents in oil, gas and chemical fields.
Focuses on rules, safety plans and risk checks.
Entry Requirement: BSc in any science or engineering field.

4. Professional Master in Occupational Safety and Health
Duration: 12 months
Covers job site safety, rule checks and work risk issues.
Looks at tools and work habits that protect workers.
Entry Requirement: BSc in any science or engineering field.

5. Professional Master in System Safety and Reliability Studies
Duration: 12 months
Covers system design, tool checks and safety plans.
Includes rules, tools and work settings in many fields.
Entry Requirement: BSc in fields like chemical, civil, gas, electrical, robotics, aviation.

6. Professional Master in Environmental Safety and Health
Duration: 12 months
Covers how to check and fix risks linked to air, water and space.
Teaches rule checks and safety steps for work and public spaces.
Entry Requirement: BSc in any science or engineering field.

Choose how to attend

Regular study

• Join face-to-face classes at any of these: Lokoja Main Campus, Port Harcourt Centre, Abuja Centre.

Distance learning

• Join online classes through the school's learning portal.
• Join from anywhere, but must come in for field work and lab work.

2. Create an account and choose your programme type (Masters or PGD)
3. Pick your course and fill the form

Know the cost

• Diploma application for Nigerians: ₦30,000
• Master's application for Nigerians: ₦40,000
• International diploma: $100
• International master's: $150

Check key dates

• Application starts: Wednesday, 12 March 2025
• Application ends: Friday, 18 April 2025

Make sure of the entry rules

• Five O'Level credits needed
• English and Maths must be part of the five
