FUNAAB Releases Revised 2024/2025 Postgraduate Calendar
FUNAAB has updated its 2024/2025 academic calendar for postgraduate students. From registration to exams and result meetings, here's the full breakdown. Keep reading for key dates you don't want to miss.
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has tweaked its postgraduate timetable. At a special Senate meeting on 17 July 2025, the new schedule was signed off and is now official. So, if you're in the system or planning to join soon, here's your cheat sheet.
When Things Start and Stop
Registration
- Kicks off: Monday, 24 March 2025
- Closes: Friday, 18 April 2025
- Late registration window (with fine): Monday, 21 April to Friday, 2 May 2025
If you miss that window, well, it's game over.

First Semester
- Lectures begin: Monday, 31 March 2025
- Lectures wrap up: Thursday, 17 July 2025
- Exams start: Monday, 8 September 2025
- Exams end: Friday, 19 September 2025
- Results get reviewed: Monday, 13 October 2025
They've slotted 13 weeks for lectures, plus time for revision, exams and marking. It's tight but manageable—unless you slack.
Second Semester
- Lectures resume: Monday, 29 September 2025
- Lectures end: Tuesday, 23 December 2025
- Exams start: Monday, 5 January 2026
- Exams end: Monday, 19 January 2026
- Results go to board: Monday, 2 February 2026
- Session ends officially: Friday, 6 February 2026
It follows the same rhythm as first semester. Thirteen weeks of classes, then the usual drill—revision, exams, grading.
