FUPRE Orientation Programme for 2025/2026 Freshers

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) invites all new students to the 2025/2026 orientation programme.

The event will run from Tuesday 16 December to Thursday 18 December 2025. Each day starts at 9 am at Lecture Theatre 1. The programme helps fresh students understand campus life, connect with support units and get a clear picture of how study works at the University.

What students should expect at FUPRE event

The three days give new students time to settle in and meet staff members who guide learning and student support. They will hear simple notes on academic rules, campus services and safety steps. There will also be short sessions where student leaders share tips from their own first year. Fresh students will meet classmates and begin to form study groups that help them feel at ease.

Faculty members will join the sessions so new students can ask early questions about study choices and class routines. This helps each student feel more prepared before classes begin.

Why new students are encouraged to attend

The University hopes all new students will make time to join the programme, as it marks the first step into life at FUPRE. The sessions give clear, practical guidance that students can use as they start their study plans for 2025.
