FUPRE Postgraduate Admission 2025/2026 Application Guide

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), has announced that its postgraduate admission form is now on sale for the 2025/2026 academic year. Both part-time and full-time programmes are open under the School of Postgraduate Studies, covering science, computing and engineering fields.

Programme Duration for FUPRE Postgraduate Admission

The length of study depends on the college and the level of the programme.

College of Science and College of Computing

PGD: 2 to 4 semesters
M.Sc.: 3 to 6 semesters
Ph.D.: 6 to 10 semesters

College of Engineering and Technology

PGD: 4 to 6 semesters
M.Eng.: 3 to 6 semesters
Ph.D.: 6 to 12 semesters

These ranges give room for students' pace, though meeting the minimum period depends on steady progress.

How to Apply for FUPRE Postgraduate Admission

The application is done online only. Steps include:

Visit the FUPRE postgraduate portal.
Pay the processing fee of ₦25,000.
Complete the form carefully, following the instructions given.

The application window closes on October 31st, 2025.

Required Supporting Documents

Applicants must arrange their papers properly in an A4 envelope, with name and form number written clearly at the back.

Photocopy of university degree certificate(s)
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
O'Level results
Academic transcripts and referee reports

Note: Your transcript must be sent directly from your former school to:

The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, P.M.B. 1221, Effurun, Delta State.

Referees are to complete and submit their reports online. Applications without transcripts will not be treated.

What Happens After Submission

Applicants can track their forms online.
Email alerts will be sent once a decision is made.
Successful candidates will receive admission letters in their registered email inbox.
