FUTA Notice to Staff & Students on COVID-19 Third Wave
Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) notice to members of staff and students on the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria particularly the confirmation of the existence of the Delta Variant , the University Management hereby enjoins all members of staff and students to adhere strictly to Preventive Safety Measures against the global Corona Virus Pandemic.
The resurgence of the Transmission of COVID-19 should not be treated with kid-gloves.
All members of the FUTA Community must do everything humanly possible to keep themselves safe within and outside the University environment.
All members of staff and students are therefore enjoined to adhere strictly to all the safety measures , precautions and protocols against the spread of COVID-19 including wearing of face masks at all times , regular hand washing , use of hand sanitizers and maintenance of reasonable social distance when they are in public places.
Members of the University Community are also advised to minimize social interactions in public places to the barest minimum.
Social activities should also be strictly curtailed .
