5th Convocation: Important Info to KWASU 2016/17 Graduands
Kwara State University, KWASU important notice to prospective graduands for the 2016/2017 academic session as regards the forthcoming 5th convocation ceremony of the institution.
Following the publication of the Kwara State University, KWASU Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events, the authorities of the institution released some important information to all 2016/2017 Graduands of the institution as regards the coming event.

(i) All prospective graduands for the 2016/2017 Academic Session are requested to check their names on the list to be displayed on the University Website: www.kwasu.edu.ng as soon as Senate approves the final year results.
(ii) Each graduand shall be allowed a maximum of two (2) guests. All University guests are expected to be seated under the provided tent outside the hall. The invitation cards will be issued as from Tuesday, 6th of June, 2017 when academic wears will be available for collection.
(iii) All prospective Graduands are expected to pay the sum of N20, 000.00 (Twenty thousand naira) for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend the Convocation Ceremony:
(a) Hiring of Academic Outfit;
(b) Order of Proceedings;
(c) Certificate of scroll;5
(d) Alumni fees.
(iv) Top Up graduands are expected to pay the sum of N40, 000.00 (Forty thousand naira) for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend the Convocation Ceremony:
(a) Hiring of Academic Outfit;
(b) Order of Proceedings;
(c) Certificate of scroll;
(d) Alumni fees;
(e) Development fees.
(v) Post Graduate graduands are expected to pay the sum of N50, 000.00 (Fifty thousand naira) for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend the Convocation Ceremony:
(a) Hiring of Academic Outfit;
(b) Order of Proceedings;
(c) Certificate of scroll;
(d) Alumni fees;
(e) Development fees.
(vi) Order of proceedings will be available for collection immediately after the Convocation Ceremony from College Officers on presentation of evidence of payment of appropriate charges and clearance certificate, while certificate scrolls will be collected with the academic gowns.
(vii) Graduands are expected to attend a Rehearsal of the Academic Procession which will hold at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, 9th June, 2017 at the University Convocation Arena.
(viii) It is compulsory for all Graduands, who will attend the Convocation Ceremony, to participate in the Academic Procession and wear the approved academic outfits.
(ix) Graduands are expected to be formally dressed in full English wear (i.e Suit, Shirt and tie for men and Skirt suit/ Skirt and blouse or gown for Ladies) or full national dress.
(x) Graduands are expected to be on the Campus by 7.00 a.m. on Saturday, 10th June, 2017 for the Procession which will start from the College of Agriculture/Education at 8.00 a.m. prompt. Any graduand who comes late will not be allowed to enter the Convocation Arena.
(xi) All hired gowns should be returned by the Graduands to their respective College Officers not later than Friday, 16th June, 2017. Gowns returned undamaged after that date will attract a fine of Two hundred naira (N200.00) only per day. Damaged or lost gowns will attract a fine of N5,000.00.
(xii) Graduands should visit the University's website for details of mode of payment of Convocation charges.
