Apply for the MEXT Scholarship to Study in Japan in 2026

The MEXT Scholarship Programme gives Nigerian students a chance to study in Japan for free. It is funded by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. You can apply if you want to study for an undergraduate degree, master's or PhD or attend a technical or specialised college.

Applications must be sent as hard copies to the Embassy of Japan in Abuja. Online or email submissions are not allowed.
