The Kiisi Trust Foundation (KTF) is dedicated to supporting the educational pursuits of Ogoni students in tertiary institutions. This scholarship scheme is specifically designed for students hailing from the four Local Government Areas in Rivers State: Eleme, Gokana, Khana and Tai. The scholarship aims to alleviate financial burdens and encourage academic excellence among Ogoni students in recognised tertiary institutions approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Categories and Slots

For the 2024 academic year, the KTF Ogoni Scholarship Scheme offers two categories based on academic level:

200 Level/NDII Applicants:

• Total Awards: 75 scholarships
• Distribution: 50 for university students and 25 for students in polytechnics, monotechnics or colleges of education.

Final Year Applicants:

• Total Awards: 25 scholarships
• Distribution: 23 slots for Ogoni students and 2 slots for non-Ogoni students.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the KTF Ogoni Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Ogoni Origin: Must be an Ogoni student from one of the specified Local Government Areas.
• Tertiary Institution Enrollment: Must be enrolled in an approved tertiary institution in Nigeria (university, polytechnic, monotechnic or college of education).
• Academic Level: Must be in 200 Level/NDII or final year during the 2023/2024 session.
• Academic Performance: Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale or 2.4 on a 4-point scale.
• Bank Account: Must have a BVN-compliant bank account without maximum amount restriction.
• Scholarship Restrictions: Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, such as those from oil and gas companies.
• Admission Proof: Must possess a valid admission letter into an approved institution.
• Exclusion of Part-Time Students: Part-time students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Required Documents

Eligible applicants must upload the following documents during the application process:

• Student Identity Card (approved by the school authority)
• Passport Photograph (with a white background)
• Admission Letter (into an approved federal, state university or polytechnic)
• Current CGPA Transcript or Result (duly signed and stamped by the Head of Department or Exams Officer)
• Local Government Identification Certificate

Document Specifications

• Each document should not exceed 300KB and must be in PDF or JPG format.
• The filename of each document should begin with your Matriculation Number (e.g., LASU2022/906783AdmissionLetter.jpg).
