This process helps confirm you're truly from Lagos State, but let's be clear — passing this verification does not guarantee admission.
Who Can Apply?
Only candidates who:
- Are from Lagos State and
- Selected LASU as first choice in 2025 UTME and
- Scored 195 or more
…can take part. That includes Direct Entry applicants too.
If you've applied in previous years (2023/2024 or 2024/2025) but didn't get in, you can revalidate your clearance online — just log in and pay the required fee.
Application Process
- Head to LASU Indigeneship Portal
- Make payment online into the official LASU account (only through the link above)
- Wait for your interview date at the assigned centre
Warning: Don't pay through agents or personal bank accounts. If you do, you're on your own.
Interview Phases
Screening interviews will happen in four stages:
- Phase 1: Monday 26 May to Thursday 29 May
- Phase 2: Monday 2 June to Thursday 5 June
- Phase 3: Monday 9 June to Thursday 12 June
- Phase 4: Monday 16 June to Thursday 19 June
You'll be told which phase and venue to attend based on your local government area.
Interview Venues by Division
- Ikeja: Sociology Class, opposite Health Centre
- Badagry: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
- Ikorodu: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
- Lagos Island/Mainland: International Business Class, MBA Building
- Epe: School of Transport and Logistics
Try to arrive early. Lagos traffic won't wait for you and neither will the committee.
Even if you pass the screening, admission is not automatic. This exercise only proves your origin. You still have to meet other admission criteria LASU sets.
