Who is eligible for LASU Post UTME screening?

Candidates qualify for the LASU Post UTME screening if they chose Lagos State University as their first-choice university during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 195.

They must also be at least 16 years old by 1 October 2026.

Can LASU Pre Degree Studies students apply?

Yes. Pre Degree Studies (PDS) students who completed their studies can apply if they want LASU to consider them for the 2026/2027 academic session.

PDS applicants must have chosen LASU as their first-choice university during the 2026 UTME and scored at least 195.

Who can apply through Direct Entry?

Direct Entry candidates can apply if they obtained the Direct Entry Form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and chose LASU as their first-choice university.

This group includes LASU School of Basic and Advanced Studies (JUPEB) candidates. LASU states that only LASU Diploma is acceptable for Direct Entry admission, except NCE into Faculty of Education programmes.

How does Lagos State origin verification affect screening?

Candidates of Lagos State origin for 100 and 200 levels must have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by LASU.

What should LASU Direct Entry candidates submit?

Direct Entry candidates should submit one copy each of the online Admission Screening Report and the notification of Diploma (LASU Diploma) or NCE result.

They should submit the documents at the Admission Annex/Liaison Office, Room 7, Administrative Block II.

How can candidates pay for LASU Post UTME / DE screening?

Candidates should start from the LASU website and follow the online payment process.

  1. Visit the LASU website.
  2. Point to "Student", then click "New Applicants".
  3. Click "UTME/DE Screening" or go to the LASU admission screening portal.
  4. Click "UTME Candidate Login".
  5. Enter the UTME registration number and surname, then click "Submit".
  6. Click "Make Payment (Admission Screening)".
  7. Supply the JAMB registration number on the payment page.
  8. Select "Admission Screening Fee" as the description.
  9. Select "Ojo" as the campus.
  10. Select "Student" as the category.
  11. Return to the dashboard after successful payment.
  12. Click "Start Admission Screening".
  13. Review the basic bio-data displayed.
  14. Select the mode of entry.
  15. Supply the Transaction ID used for payment.
  16. Click "Submit" and continue with the self-screening process.

Candidates can repeat the process if they need to update or correct earlier records. LASU states that such corrections require payment.

Candidates can also rescreen to change their course of study and each later screening attempt or correction requires payment.

How can candidates complete the LASU online self-screening form?

After payment, candidates should return to the LASU admission screening portal and complete the self-screening form.

Candidates should log in with their UTME registration number and surname, then supply the Transaction ID used for payment.

Candidates should save and proceed after each section. They should then select their course, choose the number of O'Level sittings and enter the required O'Level details.

Step 4: Preview and certify the details

Candidates should preview all supplied details and certify that the information is correct.

By ticking the "I Certify" button, the candidate confirms that the screening will rest only on the information supplied and that the screening decision is final. A candidate who does not agree to the stated terms cannot move beyond this point.

Step 5: Download the screening result

After submission and successful completion, candidates will return to the Screening Homepage.

They should enter their UTME registration number and click "Download Result" to generate the screening report.

What O'Level requirements apply to LASU admission screening?

Candidates must possess five O'Level credits in subjects relevant to the chosen course of study at no more than two sittings.

Medicine and Dentistry require only one sitting.

What O'Level rule applies to Engineering candidates?

Candidates who want to study any Engineering course and want to use two O'Level sittings must possess six O'Level credits.
