Odemuyiwa said one of the thrusts of the current administration's policy in education is to "educate for employability through technical education", hence the need to spur MAPOLY and the Governing Council to implement the B.Tech degree aspect of the mandate.

Odemuyiwa also said the Dapo Abiodun-led administration was working towards reviewing the educational curriculum in the state to align it with the demands of modern trends.
