The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa) is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This program provides generous financial, social and academic support to talented students whose potential is greater than their financial resources.

CMU-Africa is part of a global network of 33 partner institutions working to develop Africa's next generation of leaders.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship offers holistic support to ensure student success.
It covers application preparation orientation, tuition, fees, health insurance, travel, living expenses and project support.
Scholars gain access to career preparation activities, including internship opportunities, career fairs, networking events and one-on-one coaching.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to African students interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Engineering Artificial Intelligence.
Applicants must demonstrate academic talent, a commitment to improving their communities and the potential to lead.
Application Process
To apply, follow these steps:
- Submit your online application through the CMU-Africa Admissions Portal.
- Complete the required competency tests outlined on the CMU-Africa Competency Tests page.
Applications must include a statement of purpose, resume or CV and two policy-related writing samples.
Applicants should also provide a reference letter or employer endorsement.
The deadline for submission is 15th January 2025.
