ASCOEA Matriculation Ceremony

The management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, ASCOEA, has released the schedule for its 40th NCE and 17th Undergraduate Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Terisa Abdullahi Babbaji, the college has approved Thursday, 16 April, and Friday, 17 April 2026 for the orientation lectures and matriculation ceremony. The notice also includes a rehearsal and a cultural dance; the full programme is now set.

ASCOEA matriculation programme of events

The matriculation exercise will run across three days, with each activity assigned to a specific venue and time.

Orientation lectures and collection of academic gowns

Orientation lectures and collection of academic gowns will hold on Thursday, 16 April 2026.

The time is 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The venue is Chris Abutu Garuba Hall.

Rehearsal

The rehearsal will also hold on Thursday, 16 April 2026.

The time is 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The venue is Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex.

Matriculation ceremony

The matriculation ceremony will hold on Friday, 17 April 2026, at Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex.

NCE students

The matriculation time for NCE students is 8:00 a.m.

Undergraduate students

The matriculation time for undergraduate students is 4:00 p.m.

Cultural dance

The cultural dance will hold on Saturday, 18 April 2026.

The time is 4:00 p.m.

The venue is Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex.

Lecture suspension during the exercise

The college management stated that all lectures and academic activities for 100 and 200 level students will be suspended during the period of the events.

Activities at Chris Abutu Garuba Hall and Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex will also be halted for the smooth conduct of the programme. That makes the schedule plain; the affected spaces will be kept free for the exercise.

What students should note

Students in the affected categories should take note of the dates, times, and venues attached to each part of the programme.

The schedule starts with orientation lectures and gown collection, moves to rehearsal later that same day, then to matriculation on Friday. The cultural dance will follow on Saturday; each stage has its own fixed Time.
