ASCOEA Sallah Break 2026: Dates and Resumption

Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, Bauchi State, has announced a break for the 2026 Eid El-Kabeer Sallah celebration.

The notice came through an official circular from the Registrar’s Office dated 22 May 2026. The Provost approved the closure of the college from Monday, 25 May to Sunday, 31 May 2026.

ASCOEA Closure Dates for Eid El-Kabeer

Academic and administrative activities will stop during the approved Sallah break.

The closure covers staff, students and the general public; normal work and academic activities will resume on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Offices and Facilities Must Be Secured

College management directed Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, Programme Coordinators, Sectional Heads and Unit Heads to secure their areas before the break.

This covers offices, classrooms and other college facilities. Each unit head should make sure the spaces under their care are properly locked and safe before the holiday begins.

Staff Exempted from the Sallah Break

Some workers will continue their duties during the holiday.

The circular exempts staff on essential duties, since their work must continue while the college remains closed. The affected staff include:

• Security personnel
• Bursary staff
• Borehole Operators
• Gardeners
• Animal Herders
• Clinic workers

Management Message to Staff and Students

The college management thanked staff and students for their cooperation and support.

It also wished everyone a peaceful and joyous Eid El-Kabeer celebration.

Resumption Date

ASCOEA will resume normal work and academic activities on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Staff and students should take note of the date and prepare to return after the Sallah break.
