The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has opened applications for the 2026/2027 Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship Programme. The scheme is meant to support human resource development in the Niger Delta region.
NDDC stated that the programme seeks to equip young people with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the Federal Government’s local content programme and for global competition across professional fields. Who can apply
To qualify for the NDDC Foreign Post-Graduate Scholarship, an applicant must:
- hail from the Niger Delta region
- hold a First Class Degree or Second Class Upper Division
- be under 40 years of age

- recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- post-graduate admission letter from a recognised overseas university
- relevant degrees from recognised universities
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
Selection process
NDDC stated that candidates will be shortlisted based on WASSCE/NECO results and undergraduate degree classification.
Shortlisted candidates will take part in a Computer-Based Test, CBT, in Rivers State. A minimum score of 70% is required to move to the next stage. That sets a clear line; the test score matters.
