Apply for NHEF Scholars Programme 2025

The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) has launched the 2025 Scholars Programme.

This programme equips talented Nigerian students with skills, experiences and connections to succeed in their careers.

Programme Features

The programme offers:

• Internship Opportunities: Work with top organisations in Nigeria.
• Leadership and Career Development: Attend training sessions and workshops.
• Mentorship and Networking: Connect with professionals and NHEF alumni.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must:

• Be in the penultimate year at an NHEF partner university. These include Ahmadu Bello University, Bayero University, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria and University of Port Harcourt.
• Show excellence in academics, extracurriculars and professional activities.
• Commit to community service and aim to make a positive societal impact.

Key Dates

• Applications open on 20th January 2025.
• The deadline is 7th March 2025.

Application Steps

1. Visit the NHEF Application Portal.
2. Create an account using your name, email, phone number and password.
3. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
4. Log in and click the APPLY tab.
5. Fill in the bio-data section and answer the programme essay questions.
6. Upload the following documents in PDF format:
   • One-page CV.
   • One-page Cover Letter.
   • Most recent Statement of Result.
7. Review your responses and submit.

It is advised to prepare answers in a separate document to copy and paste into the portal as the application cannot be saved before submission.

Confirming Submission

After submission, you can confirm your application through the following:

• Your dashboard will display the message: "Scholars Program – Application Submitted on [Date and Time]".
• You will receive an email confirming successful submission.
• The application tab on your dashboard will become inaccessible.
