The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, has extended the deadline for applications for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.
Prospective applicants now have until Friday, 31 Jan 2026 to submit their application forms. This update gives candidates extra time, but the notice still draws a hard line at the new date.

New application deadline
The new closing date is:
- Friday, 31 January 2026
The notice also states that submissions after 31 January 2026 will not be entertained.
Instruction for pending applications
According to the public notice (signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration), all pending applications must be forwarded to that office on or before the new deadline to allow timely processing.
In plain terms: if an application is still sitting somewhere, it should move now; delays can cost an applicant their chance.
What applicants should do
Prospective applicants are expected to:
- Complete the application form
- Submit it on or before Friday, 31 Jan 2026
- Ensure pending submissions are forwarded to the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration's office
No late submission after the deadline
The Council of Legal Education stated clearly that late submissions will not be considered after 31 Jan 2026.
