Soaring Within Empowerment Foundation (SOWEF) Essay 2025

The Soaring Within Empowerment Foundation (SOWEF) Essay Competition 2025 invites Senior Secondary School students across Nigeria to share their ideas and critical thinking skills through writing. This year’s topic, “The Role of Education in Nigeria and the Emerging Influence of Social Media on Its Future,” offers students a chance to reflect on how learning and digital spaces are shaping their generation.

Eligibility Criteria

The competition is open to SS3 students in Nigeria. Each participant is required to submit an original, well-researched essay of no more than 1,000 words. The focus is on thoughtful writing that shows understanding and creativity.

The Soaring Within Empowerment Foundation (SOWEF) has arranged rewarding prizes to celebrate outstanding performance and inspire participation:

• 1st Prize: ₦200,000
• 2nd Prize: ₦150,000
• 3rd Prize: ₦100,000
• Top 20 Finalists: Full JAMB sponsorship
• Top 10 Winners: Additional gifts and mentorship opportunities
