The Innovative CropDiseaseDetector
The ABU team earned their prize for developing an innovative device called CropDiseaseDetector.
This solution aims to help farmers in northern Nigeria by providing early detection of crop diseases.
The CropDiseaseDetector is an affordable and user-friendly AI-based device that works in real-time, even offline, which makes it very suitable for rural areas.
This device identifies different diseases affecting crops commonly grown in northern Nigeria and offers practical solutions to farmers.
It can also be scaled to cover different crops and adjust to various regional disease patterns.
This ensures farmers can get relevant advice based on the crops they grow and the diseases common in their areas.
