UBTH Post Basic Nursing Admission Forms 2025/2026

UBTH is now accepting applications into its Post-Basic Nursing programmes for 2025/2026. Interested nurses must meet the entry requirements and apply online before 29 August 2025. Full course list and fees are below.

UBTH Post-Basic Nursing Admission Opens for 2025/2026

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) has started receiving applications for its Post-Basic Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 session. If you're a registered nurse with clinical experience and looking to advance your career, this could be your next step.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered, you must:

Prepare for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, BECE, NCEE and Post UTME

Practise CBT Exams on Mobile or PC

Prepare for Post UTME, WAEC, NECO, JAMB UTME, Junior WAEC (BECE) and Common Entrance (NCEE) with the MySchoolGist CBT App and Software. Use it on Android, iPhone or Windows to practise past questions anytime.

Alternative admission via JUPEB/IJMB programmes (SPONSORED)

Hold five O'Level credits, in not more than two sittings, from WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB
- Required subjects: English, Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry
Be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
Have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in a relevant field

Only clear original scanned documents should be uploaded.

UBTH offers the following Post-Basic specialities:

Critical Care Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
Ophthalmic Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
Perioperative Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
Paediatric Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
Accident and Emergency Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
Gerontology Nursing – ₦20,000

How to Apply

Visit the UBTH College of Nursing portal
Fill the application form online
Pay the non-refundable application fee via Remita, selecting UBTH TSA as the beneficiary
Upload the completed form and required documents

Deadline and Exam Details

Application closes: Friday, 29 August 2025
Exam date, time and venue will be shared with applicants who pass the initial screening
