UNIABUJA Opens Degree Upgrade Admission for 2025

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) is calling for applications into its Degree Conversion Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. The programme is run under the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDL&CE) and is designed for those with HNDs or university degrees with third-class or pass classifications. The idea is simple: bridge the gap and earn a better qualification.

Programmes cut across several faculties and can be taken on a part-time basis.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• At least five credits including English and Maths in no more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB etc.)
• Two A-Level passes with five credits in relevant subjects
• Graduates from recognised universities or polytechnics (including Direct Entry, HND or NCE) with acceptable grades
• Nurses must have relevant certification, e.g. Midwifery, HND or a related third-class/pass degree

How to Apply

Step-by-step Guide:

1. Start by registering through the JAMB e-platform
2. Once you're visible on the UNIABUJA CAPS dashboard, proceed to the school portal
3. Visit cdlce.uniabuja.edu.ng
4. Click CLICK HERE TO APPLY and read through the admission details
5. Select PART-TIME CDP or Degree Conversion as your mode
6. Click APPLY to begin
7. Fill in your full name, email and phone
8. Generate an RRR for payment
9. Make the payment of ₦20,000 using Remita (MasterCard or Visa only)
10. After payment, a unique application number will be generated
11. Log in again with the number and your surname as password to complete the process

Course Duration

• Engineering, Nursing and Agriculture: 3 years
• All others: 2 years

Application Deadline

Forms close on Tuesday, 30 September 2025.
