UNICROSS First Semester Break 2026 Resumption Date

The management of the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS, has announced that the First Semester Break will begin on Friday, 3 April 2026, and run until Monday, 13 April 2026.

That notice covers both Staff and Students; the campus moves into a short pause for the period named in the release.

Staff and students to resume on 14 April 2026

All Staff and Students are to proceed on break and return on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

Duties and academic activities will resume on that date. During the break period, all academic work will remain suspended.

Academic activities will pause during the break

The University made the position plain. Teaching and other academic activities will not hold during the First Semester Break.

For Students, the calendar is clear; break starts on 3 April 2026 and ends on 13 April 2026.

Essential duty staff are exempt

Staff on essential duties are exempt from the break and are expected to continue their responsibilities in line with departmental schedules.

That part of the notice keeps necessary services in place across the University.

Easter message to the university community

Management also extended warm wishes to the University community for a deeply reflective, peaceful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.
