The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is set to welcome a new bursar following a decision by the university’s Governing Council.
At its 186th meeting on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024, the Governing Council reviewed the Selection Board’s report on Principal Officer appointments.
The council’s decision follows the guidelines of the University Miscellaneous Act.
This process led to the appointment of Mr Abiodun Lawal, a Deputy Bursar, as UNILORIN’s new substantive bursar.
The appointment of Mr Lawal will be for a term of five years.
Mr Lawal’s role as bursar will officially begin on 1st November 2024.
This marks a new chapter for UNILORIN’s financial leadership.
