UNIPORT Christmas and New Year Break 2025

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced the closure of the university for the 2025 Christmas and New Year break.
The update was shared through a memo from the Office of the Registrar to the university community. The memo is dated 17 December 2025 and carries the reference number UPH/REG/30.
The notice states that the university will close on Thursday, 18 December 2025. Academic and administrative work will resume on Monday, 12 January 2026.
During the break, some services will still run. These include selected duties across Colleges, Faculties, and administrative and technical units. Provosts, Deans, and Heads of Departments or Units will guide this process. Heads of Units are expected to make sure staff assigned to these duties continue their work without breaks.
The Registrar also sent goodwill messages to staff and students. On behalf of the university, warm wishes were shared for a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
