University of Uyo (UNIUYO) JUPEB Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The University of Uyo has invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into its one-year Basic Studies Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, offered in collaboration with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board, JUPEB.

The programme has been designed for candidates who seek admission into 200 level through Direct Entry, after successful completion of the JUPEB examinations and fulfilment of the admission requirements for their chosen courses.

What is the UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme?

The UNIUYO Basic Studies Programme is a one-year academic programme that prepares students for the examinations conducted by JUPEB.

Successful candidates will be admitted into 200 level in degree programmes at the University of Uyo or any Nigerian University through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, provided they meet the admission criteria for the desired programme.

JAMB score is not required for admission into the Basic Studies Programme.

Candidates for the 2026 UTME may also apply, as there will be no supplementary application for the programme.

What are the admission requirements for UNIUYO JUPEB?

Candidates are required to have at least five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and any three other subjects relevant to the chosen course of study.

The required credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings in any of the following examinations:

Admission into the programme will usually be through a University Screening Test and the test will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test, CBT.

Is JAMB score required for UNIUYO JUPEB admission?

JAMB score is not required for admission into the UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme.

Candidates who complete the programme, pass the JUPEB examination and meet the admission criteria for their desired course will be admitted into 200 level through Direct Entry.

Can 2026 UTME candidates apply for UNIUYO JUPEB?

Candidates for the 2026 UTME can also apply for the UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme.

There will be no supplementary application for the programme, so interested candidates are expected to complete the application within the approved registration period.

How much is the UNIUYO JUPEB application fee?

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee.

How should candidates apply for UNIUYO JUPEB admission?

All applications will be completed through the University of Uyo admission portal.

Create an account

Candidates should visit the UNIUYO admissions portal, click Apply Now, then select Create Account as first-time users.

The registration form should be completed and the email address used for the application must be verified.

Pay the application fee

After account creation, candidates should log in and open the Application Fee section.

The application type should be selected as Basic Studies, after which a Remita Retrieval Reference, RRR, will be generated.

Payment may be made online or at any bank using the RRR and candidates should return to the portal to confirm payment.

Complete the application form

Candidates should go to Application Form, click Start New Application, fill in all required details, upload the required PDF documents and submit the application.

After submission, candidates should print the screening slip for the admission process.

What should candidates know before submitting the form?

The same passport photograph used for online registration will be used during the screening exercise and for registration after the offer of provisional admission.

The University will entertain no complaint on wrong biodata or blank photograph after submission.

Candidates who upload wrong biodata will automatically be disqualified.

The same payment procedure will be used for all fees after admission.

What are the UNIUYO JUPEB registration and screening dates?

Registration will close on 30 September 2026.

The mock online screening exercise will take place on 25 September 2026.

The main test will hold from 27 October to 7 November 2026.
