Wesley University 14th Convocation Ceremony 2025

Wesley University, Ondo, has announced its 14th Convocation Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, 18th to Sunday, 23rd November 2025. The event carries the theme J. Wesley Missiology & Education for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century.

The programme brings together scholars, students, and distinguished guests to reflect on education, faith, and sustainability in a fast-changing world. Wesley University continues to shape learning and research that address real social and environmental challenges through its yearly convocation activities.

Schedule of Events

A. International Conference

Dates: Tuesday, 18th – Thursday, 20th November 2025

The convocation week opens with an international conference featuring thematic panels, academic paper presentations, and a press conference. Scholars will discuss contemporary issues in mission studies, theology, and education for sustainable development. The sessions will also include the launch of conference proceedings and a special journal presentation.

B. Convocation Ceremonies

Dates: Thursday, 20th – Saturday, 22nd November 2025

The central events include the Convocation Crusade, Convocation Lecture, and Project Dedication. Degrees will be conferred on graduating students, alongside the presentation of awards to individuals who have contributed to learning and community service. A Festschrift honouring the Vice-Chancellor will also be unveiled to celebrate leadership and academic excellence.

C. Convocation Thanksgiving Service

Date: Sunday, 23rd November 2025

The week concludes with a thanksgiving service to appreciate God’s grace and guidance over the university and its students. It will also serve as a moment of reflection and unity among members of the Wesley University community.
