NUC Approves 24 New Courses for Bingham University

Bingham University Receives NUC Approval for 24 New Programmes

Bingham University has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence all 24 new programmes presented for resource verification.

The approval covers six undergraduate and 18 postgraduate programmes.

The verification took place between November and December 2024.

New Programmes for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The approved programmes will begin admitting students in the 2024/2025 academic session.

This brings the university’s undergraduate programmes to 46 and postgraduate programmes to 58.

List of Undergraduate Programmes

  1. B.Sc. Journalism and Media Studies
  2. B.Sc. Film and Multimedia Studies
  3. B.Sc. Public Relations
  4. B.Sc. Industrial Physics
  5. B.Sc. Data Science
  6. B.Sc. Psychology

List of Postgraduate Programmes

  1. Ph.D. Architecture
  2. M.Sc. and Ph.D. Computer Science
  3. PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Mathematics
  4. PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Physics
  5. PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Political Science
  6. PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Sociology
  7. PGD, M.Sc. Entrepreneurship, and Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

NUC Approval Details

The approval was communicated through a letter signed by Abubakar M. Gire, the Acting Director of Academic Planning for Programme Accreditation.

The letter was addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba.

Vice-Chancellor’s Response

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the university for this achievement.

He encouraged staff to continue working hard to support the growth of the institution.
