E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships for STI 2025

The E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships for STI 2025 are now open for applications.

These scholarships, offered by the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), aim to develop skilled professionals in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI).

The scholarships are part of a collaboration between the Egyptian Government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Scholarship Details

The E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships cover all costs associated with studying.

The benefits include full tuition fees, accommodation, a monthly stipend, medical care, and round-trip international airfare.

Available Slots

For the Fall 2025 intake, 33 M.Sc. and 40 Ph.D. scholarship slots are available.

The scholarships focus on postgraduate studies in Science, Engineering, and related fields.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet specific conditions to qualify for the scholarships.

• Candidates must be researchers or instructors, or those likely to become researchers or instructors, in Science, Engineering, or related specialisations.
• Applicants must hold African nationality, excluding Egypt.
• The current residence of the applicant must be in an African country.
• Candidates serving in the military are not eligible.
• Applicants must meet all admission requirements and pass both an academic interview and oral examination.
• Candidates are encouraged to return to their home universities or institutions after completing their studies.
• Applications must be endorsed by the home institution to confirm the candidate’s return upon completing the programme.

Application Process

Applications must be completed through the E-JUST online portal.

• Provide all required details and supporting documents.
• Ensure submission before the deadline.

The application deadline is 8 February 2025.
