This is not for the undecided or those peeping through another department’s window. No. This is a targeted reach, a beckoning hand for the ones already knee-deep in chalk dust and lesson plans.

And this year? The terms are not flexible like chewing gum under heat. They are fixed, non-negotiable, carved like calabash art. But if you meet them, and meet them well, what stands between you and financial ease may be little more than a clear application and a stable internet connection.

Who This Bursary Is Really For

Make no mistake: not every student is wanted here. The call is specific, the criteria are tight. Only those who can tick every box below should proceed, anything less is a quick route to rejection.

Eligibility Checklist

• You must already be studying Education, not planning to switch into it next semester.
• Your institution must be Nigerian, public, and recognised—no private escapades.
• You must be a full-time student. Part-timers, evening learners, and the like: this is not your bus stop.
• You must be in your second year or above. Freshers, please sit this one out.
• You cannot, must not, be receiving any other scholarship. The bursary is a jealous giver.

Students living with disabilities are equally welcome, so long as they meet all the above.

Where to Go

Applications are only accepted through the official Federal Scholarship Board portal. That’s it. No third-party shortcuts, no “my uncle works there” stories. Just you and your keyboard.

How to Fill It

1. Read everything. Twice.
2. Complete the online form.
3. Print the form after submission, because soft copies get lost when phones fall.
4. One submission only. Double entries will have your name struck out without apology.

Attach These, Or Go Nowhere

• Admission Letter. Not from your cousin’s printer café, authentic and verifiable.
• Latest CGPA result. Make sure it’s up to date and stamped.
• Certificate of State of Origin. Your mother’s market card won’t do.

Blurry scans, missing pages, or cropped corners? Instant disqualification. Upload clean or don’t upload at all.

Dates That Should Already Be in Your Head

• Portal opens: 18 April 2025
• Portal closes: 29 May 2025

Any submission after the 29th of May is dead on arrival. The system will not blink for latecomers.

The Unbending Rules of the Award

This award does not travel. It does not cross borders. It is rooted firmly within Nigerian soil. The money is for your Nigerian academic journey, no abroad runs.

Other fine print:

• You must begin with the academic session, no retroactive grants.
• No double-dipping. You cannot hold another award while holding this.
• You are not allowed to switch course or institution once the award is in your name.
• If you break any of these terms, the bursary vanishes. Just like that.

Don’t Be Fooled

You do not need an agent. There are no hidden costs. You pay nobody. Anyone asking for money in exchange for this bursary is either confused or a thief. Report them, avoid them, ignore them.
