Overview of FUNAAB’s JUPEB Programme
The Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) ‘A’ Level programme, managed by the Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD) at FUNAAB, is a 10-month intensive residential course. Successful completion of this programme guarantees placement into the second year of all courses at FUNAAB, as well as similar courses at other universities recognising the JUPEB certificate.
Admission Requirements and Subject Combinations
Admission Criteria
To apply for the JUPEB programme, you need:
- Five OβLevel Credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Agriculture.
- Candidates awaiting results can also apply, but they must obtain their full results before completing their studies at INHURD.
Subject Combinations
You will choose three basic subject combinations based on your intended field of study. Options include:
- Science Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Understanding JUPEB’s Grading System
Your performance in the JUPEB programme is critical. The JUPEB Board grades students externally using the following scale:
