Igbinedion University Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026

Igbinedion University, Okada has opened applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. Candidates can now apply for PGD, Master’s, MPhil, or PhD programmes across various faculties.

General Requirements

To qualify for any postgraduate course at IUO, you must have:

• Five credits, including English and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or equivalent
• A pass in a degree or diploma is not accepted. You must hold a PGD before applying for a Master’s
• For PhD, a minimum of 60% average in a Master’s degree is required
• NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion letter is compulsory

Course-Specific Notes

• Nursing: Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and hold a valid license
• Computer Science: Degrees in Computer Engineering, Physics, or Maths may be accepted
• Physiology: Accepts related science degrees where Physiology was part of the curriculum
• Management PhD: MBA holders may apply for MPhil/PhD

Required Documents

• All candidates must request their transcripts be sent from their previous school
• You must also submit email addresses of three referees who must respond within five working days

How to Apply

Step-by-Step

1. Visit the right application page based on your level:
   • PGD/MSc Application
   • PhD/MPhil Application
2. Click on “Register for Application”
3. Fill in your name, email, and phone number
4. Login with the details sent to your email
5. Click on “Application Record” and complete your form
6. Upload a recent 1″ x 1″ coloured passport photo (this will be your official student ID if admitted)
7. Click “Add online payment ticket”
8. Pay the ₦115,000 application fee via Interswitch or Etransact using a bank card, or pay at a commercial bank using your payment slip
9. Double-check all details and submit

Make sure your transcript is sent and your referees respond quickly.

Admission Process

Only candidates who receive an official admission letter can proceed to pay the non-refundable acceptance fee. Details on this will be shared individually.
