Mudiame University Reduces Tuition Fees by 50%, Offers Instalment Payment
Mudiame University Irrua (MUI) has announced tuition fee reductions of up to 50% in an effort to expand access to quality education in the country.
In conjunction with an Employment Guarantee Policy, under which all first-class students are guaranteed employment and a possible exchange programme to universities abroad, the school said in a release that tuition fees would be allowed in instalments to mitigate the effects of the country’s current economic challenges.
The Chancellor, Prof Sunny Eromosele Eboh, announced the news, saying that all applicants who are indigenes of the Esan area of Edo would be eligible for a scholarship that would cover half of their tuition expenses.
Eboh further stated that all Edo nationals would receive a 30% scholarship, while Niger Delta indigenes would receive a 20% discount on their tuition expenses.
He added that the change is effective immediately, particularly for prospective students seeking admission to degree programmes for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The school currently offers degree programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Material and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biotechnology, Physics with Electronics, and Mathematics, according to him.
Eboh stated that qualified students could apply and receive immediate admission by visiting www.mudiameuniversity.edu.ng/prospective-students.
