PTI Cut-Off Mark for 2025/2026 Admission Exercise

PTI Effurun has set 130 as the cut-off mark for its 2025/2026 ND admissions. If you scored that or more in UTME, you're good to go for the next step. Read on for the list of courses and what to do next.

PTI Effurun Sets 130 UTME Cut-off for 2025/2026 Admission

The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has pegged its cut-off mark for the 2025/2026 session at 130. That means if you sat for UTME and scored at least 130, you’ve cleared the first hurdle.

A Quick Look at PTI

PTI was set up in 1973 by the Nigerian government. It’s based in Effurun, Delta State. The idea was simple: train skilled workers for the country’s oil and gas sector. And it’s stuck to that job ever since.

PTI offers National Diplomas (ND), Higher National Diplomas (HND), degrees and certificates in welding. The school is well-known across Nigeria and beyond for these courses. Many of its past students now work in major oil firms.

What’s the Cut-off for This Year?

For this coming academic session, PTI has announced a UTME cut-off mark of 130 for all ND courses. So, if you scored 130 or higher, you can take part in the Post UTME screening.

See PTI’s Post UTME Screening Details here.

If your score was below 130, you’ll need to look at other schools. PTI’s admission team won’t consider anything less this year.

Courses You Can Apply for at PTI

If your UTME score meets the cut-off, you can go ahead and apply for any of these ND courses:

You can also check the cut-off marks for other schools if PTI isn’t your only option.
