The Bridge Undergraduate Scholarships 2025

School stress is one thing. Worrying about school fees on top of that? That’s a whole different problem. If you’ve ever stared at your course registration portal and sighed because of unpaid fees, the Bridge Undergraduate Scholarship might be the kind of news you need.

Every year, the Bridge team looks for bright students who are trying to push through school, even when the odds aren’t great. Think of it as more than just money, though. There’s mentorship too. Leadership coaching. The kind of help that doesn’t just end with a transfer alert.

Who They Want

This isn’t for everybody. And they are clear about that.

You must:

That last one? It doesn’t mean you have to be SU President. Volunteering counts. Just show you’re not passive.

Timeline to Note

Don’t wait till last minute. You don’t want to be that person asking your HOD for a reference letter at 9pm on deadline day.

What You’ll Need

This part might feel like plenty, but think of it like packing your bag before an exam. No room for errors.

Required Documents

  1. A valid ID with photo (NIN, Voter’s card etc)
  2. University admission letter (from JAMB or the school itself)
  3. A 500-word personal story — write about a tough time that affected your education and how you faced it (or didn’t).
  4. JAMB result – only if you’re in Year 1
  5. WAEC or NECO result – also for Year 1 only
  6. Your university transcript or academic record (compulsory if you’re beyond Year 1)
    • Medical students, include all MBBS exam results
  7. A letter from your Head of Department confirming your academic status
  8. Two recommendation letters – one page each
  9. Your CV
  10. Proof of leadership roles (if any). Write it on a page. Include your role, duties and people who can confirm it

And yeah, all letters must be typed, signed and addressed to “The Bridge Scholarship Board”. Phone numbers for contacts are non-negotiable. Email is extra.

Document Submission Format

If you ignore these instructions, no second chance. Your application will be thrown out.

One Last Thing

This scholarship is looking for more than grades. They want real people. People who are juggling a lot but still pushing through. If that sounds like you, don’t dull.

You already do the hard part every day by showing up. Let this scholarship help you stay in the race.
