YSU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening: All You Need to Know

The Yobe State University (YSU) has officially announced the commencement of sales of Post UTME/Direct Entry forms for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Candidates seeking admission into the various undergraduate programmes can now begin their applications.

Eligibility for YSU Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening

For UTME Candidates

• Candidates must have selected YSU as their first choice during their UTME registration.
• Applicants must have an aggregate score of 140 or above in the UTME.

For Direct Entry Candidates

• Candidates should possess relevant ‘A’ Level qualifications or higher in their chosen field.
• A minimum of five (5) credit passes at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics, is required.
• Applicants must upload both O’ Level and A’ Level results on the JAMB CAPS platform before the screening date.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for YSU Post UTME Form

1. Online Registration: Begins on Friday, 6th September, 2024.
2. Generate Remita: Obtain an RRR Number at any Cyber Café.
3. Payment: Pay ₦2,000.00 via Remita, and print the slip online or at any bank.
4. Complete Registration: Go to the YSU Post-UTME Portal to complete your registration.

Important Requirements and Notes

• Candidates must have chosen YSU as their first choice and met the departmental cut-off marks.
• If you do not meet the required cut-off, you must apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal.
• Ensure that all O’ Level and A’ Level results are uploaded to the JAMB CAPS Portal.
• False information during registration may lead to disqualification.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, 20th September, 2024.
