WAEC Timetable 2026 for May/June SSCE School Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) timetable for the 2026 May/June Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates has been released. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) starts on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, and ends on Friday, 19 June 2026.

The timetable covers candidates in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia.

The schedule uses Greenwich Mean Time, GMT. That detail matters.

Time guide for each country

Nigeria runs on GMT +1. Nigerian candidates should add one hour to every time shown in the timetable.

For example, if a paper is fixed for 12:00 noon GMT, the time in Nigeria is 1:00 pm.

Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia use GMT +0. Candidates in those countries should follow the exact time printed in the timetable.

Before checking the timetable

The timetable below is based on the released WAEC schedule. Because the document is large, candidates should still confirm each entry with the WAEC 2026 May/June timetable PDF.
