Bayero University, Kano, through its Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), has opened admissions for the 2025 academic year. The focus is on real issues—climate change, resource management and sustainable farming.

What You Can Study
The CDA offers two main options:
- MSc in Agriculture and Climate
- PhD in Agriculture and Climate
Both tracks focus on:
- Natural Resource Management and Climate Change
- Sustainable Agriculture
If you work in farming, climate research or related fields, this might be a good fit.
Who Can Apply?
MSc Requirements
You'll need one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree with at least a Second Class Lower (CGPA 2.75 on a 5-point scale) or
- A Postgraduate Diploma in a related field
PhD Requirements
- A master's degree in a relevant course with at least a 3.50 CGPA
The university keeps the bar clear and fair. If you meet the grade, you're welcome.
Programme Duration
- MSc runs for 2 academic sessions (full-time)
- PhD runs for 3 sessions (full-time)
