FUTA Convocation Notice: Rules and Fees for Graduating Students

Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) announces convocation details for graduating students. Learn about robes, fees and procession rules. Read on for full instructions.

FUTA Notice to Graduands on Combined 34th and 35th Convocation Ceremonies

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has issued a notice to all graduating students regarding the upcoming convocation ceremony.

Graduating students are required to participate in the academic procession while wearing the approved academic gowns.

The academic gowns will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after the payment of the required fees.

Students must also pay for specially designed scrolls and other official items, including an e-copy of the Order of Proceedings.

Ph.D. graduating students are to purchase designated academic gowns through the School of Postgraduate Studies.

All graduating students must arrive at the robing venue at the car park of the Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium by 8.00 a.m.

The procession for graduating students will start at 8.30 a.m.

Students who are not fully robed will not be allowed to take part in the procession.

Joining the procession midway will not be permitted.

During the ceremony, students will not be allowed to enter or leave the venue.

Graduating students should contact officials from their respective schools for information on the schedule of fees, payment methods, invitation cards and other instructions.
